Public bug reported: When I go to system settings, and click on Network Settings, I get a GUI to configure my network settings.
My wireless card shows up there, but when I set it's ESSID and WEP key through the GUI, the network connection doesn't work. When I configure them from the command line with iwconfig, everything works. What's up with this GUI? Is it broken? $ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1 Release: 8.04 Thanks, Ed ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- System Settings -> Network Settings doesn't save ESSID or key https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261151 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
