It works fine on my 64-bit Ubuntu 8.04 system when I install the package flashplugin-nonfree. Flash is 32-bit and you need nspluginwrapper to make it work in 64-bit Firefox. Please provide more details. How are you trying to install Flash? Are you installing it from the Ubuntu repository or did you download it from Adobe's website yourself? Do you get any error messages? If so, what are the error messages?
