[Bug 263412] Re: kernel 2.6.27-2 from last update makes everything move very slowly

2008-09-13 Thread kulight
my answers:
Does this issue appear immediately?
yes even boot up seems to be affected

Was the dmesg output you attached from after you begin experiencing this
slowness?
the dmesg is after computer boot up nothing else

the bug you talk about seems similar but i never get full hard lock and
the sys stays unresponsive in the same way all the time not changing

Hi kulight,

Just a few questions. Does this issue appear immediately? Was the
dmesg output you attached from after you begin experiencing this
slowness. I'm curious if this might be the same as bug 262843.
Thanks.

[Bug 263412] Re: kernel 2.6.27-2 from last update makes everything move very slowly

2008-09-02 Thread kulight
sorry about the lack of obvious info

the previous kernel is 2.6.26-5-generic
the problematic one is 2.6.27-2-generic

from what i can see it maxes out the cpu's i guess thats why its so slow

dmesg is attached

[Bug 263412] Re: kernel 2.6.27-2 from last update makes everything move very slowly

2008-09-01 Thread Leann Ogasawara
Hi kulight,

When you say it is working fine with previous kernel can you comment
specifically which version of the previous kernel you are talking
about? Was it the 2.6.26 kernel previously available in Intrepid or was
it a 2.6.24 based kernel from Hardy? If you can also attach your dmesg
output that would be great. Thanks.
