Public bug reported: why must we still insist on adopting the color brown? intrepid is supposed to bring radical changes to the ubuntu theme, yet its also brown. its been brown for YEARS! orange and red gradients really look exceptional! besides, the ubuntu logo is orange anyway! when i think of my computer, i want to think of it as something slick and cool, not something BROWN. i mean, come on! what kind of things do you think of when you think of the color brown?! cool things?
i am 100 percent serious right here. i think that now is the time to stop insisting on brown. many other people have made fun of ubuntu's brown theme. i have to agree that brown was not the best color to make what is going to be a REVOLUTIONARY, operating system. so, lets please start making it more orange with red highlights and gradients! THAT looks really cool. words cannot even describe how cool that is. you were on the right track with the murrine theme in hardy beta. for intrepid, lets create something new, but lets drop brown and stick with orange (with /some/ red) for the upcoming ubuntu release. once again, i am totally, completely serious about this bug report, and i consider this an IMPORTANT issue. please do something. please stop making it brown. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- brown color for theme is...well, hideous. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/263461 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
