I am affected too: python-gobject appears in Update Manager grayed out, under a heading Distribution Update. Its checkbox cannot be checked. If I use aptitude dist-upgrade I get: The following packages are BROKEN: python-gobject 1 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 311kB of archives. After unpacking 106kB will be used. The following packages have unmet dependencies: python-gobject: Breaks: python-gtk2 ( 2.13) but 2.12.1-6ubuntu1 is installed. It was fixed this morning. The apparition of python-gtk2 in the Update Manager fixed the problem.
