[Bug 272324] Re: non clear error when trying to connect to a server and not specifying a directory

2009-07-24 Thread David Bensimon
This is still broken, and it is a pretty small bug if you just need to
make the share name a mandatory field instead of an optional one.

When using "Places > Connect To Server" to connect to a
samba/windows/cifs share, the "Share name" field is incorrectly marked
as optional. This would truly be optional if (by connecting to a server)
a share list came up, allowing the user to select which share to mount.
Since this is not the case, "Share name" is incorrectly marked as an
optional field and should be placed above the "Optional information"
label.

The change needs to be made at Line 465 in src/nautilus-connect-server-
dialog.c of the nautilus 2.26.2 source package.

** Summary changed:

- non clear error when trying to connect to a server and not specifying a
directory
+ Share name is incorrectly marked as an optional field in Places > Connect To
Server > Windows share, and error is unclear when connecting

** Summary changed:

- Share name is incorrectly marked as an optional field in Places > Connect To
Server > Windows share, and error is unclear when connecting
+ Share name is incorrectly marked as an optional field in Places > Connect To
Server > Windows share, which causes unclear error when connecting
