Marking as fix released again. Just tested again in jaunty, and it does work. Even when inverse search works (for me it worked, but now it doesn't work for some reason), okular is a much worse previewer than kdvi. It takes more time to reload and is more unstable. Despite many efforts I have not managed to use inverse search in okular
("shift button + left mouse button"). Are you sure that okular's
version present in Ubuntu supports inverse search with kile? Or is it
just my computer that fails to do inverse search?

This is still an issue in Jaunty. Well, sorta. The kdegraphics package in Intrepid doesn't contain a kdvi package since it's KDE 4.1.2.
