[Bug 273765] Re: chown: cannot access `/var/run/munge': No such file or directory

2009-06-05 Thread Chris Coulson
0.5.8-8 in karmic no longer ships /var/run/munge in the package, but
creates it at runtime from the init script

[Bug 273765] Re: chown: cannot access `/var/run/munge': No such file or directory

2009-02-13 Thread Christian Hudon
The init script will also need to do a chmod g-w (or somesuch) on the
/var/run/munge directory after creating, because munge refuses to start
with a group-writable directory.

[Bug 273765] Re: chown: cannot access `/var/run/munge': No such file or directory

2008-10-09 Thread Chris Coulson
This is not a bug in dpkg, so reassigning to munge.

I'm not sure why the directory doesn't exist, because /var/run/munge is
shipped in the deb package (which is a bug in itself anyway). I propose
that the creation and chown of /var/run/munge is left to the init
script, similar to what has just happened to Policykit.
