I don't know if this is related, but I just installed nautilus-script- audio-convert in Ubuntu 8.10, but the script didn't appear in the context menu. I'm able to reproduce this error when the nautilus script is installed as root and uninstalled with the use of sudo (and the opposite is true too) The cause resides in nautilus-script-manager because it creates a link from the user directory to the script installed in a system directory.
