I think there were five files--but I don't precisely remember. When you run a CD there are usually separate files for each cut or song or piece. Sometimes there are as many as 20 on one CD (e.g., particularly when they are compilations of music recorded in the days of 78 RPMs). cuts refer to the selections on each CD--it is an old term from the days of needle-drop records. what I am trying to decribe here is that the program often does not recognize that there are, e.g., four selections, songs, whatever, within a CD file. So--suppose the CD was of a Beethoven Sonata. Even though there were four distinct sections that one could que on a CD player, the program sometimes does not recognize these divisions and treats the file as just one large file. Hello, Sebastian: Yes, but this appears less a bug in the code, than an absence of code. The program does not automatically allow one to change the settings when it accesses the wrong information. I looked in the Help section and it says the program is supposed to alllow this automatically. As there are no pulldowns or keys to use to make changes when the look-up function errs, there is nothing to do to reset it. This is something that should be in the preferences menu. One should also be able to entirely disable the automatic lookup function and just enter listings as one likes.
