The bug is still present on jaunty. A solution suggested on the forums is to install konsole-kde3. Same here but with Gnome-Desktop. Upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10. The "Konsole" tab lags for 3 seconds on start of kdevelop. It shows no konsole. I had a similar behavior in 8.04. At that time the konsole-package was not installed. Starting "konsole" from a shell works but produces this output: "konsole(9010) KLocalePrivate::initEncoding: Cannot resolve system encoding, defaulting to ISO 8859-1."
