[Bug 277007] Re: The package claims to support CHM files but it does not
I am looking to use Okular on epub files on my Windows XP computer. According to the product site, "ebook tool" is needed for it. I downloaded "ebook too", but could not figure out how to install it to be used with Okular. I got as far as with compiling ebook tool with cmake, but it's missing some files from Borland's compiler, which is suppose to be free. I have searched the site high and low, but all the links that I came across were broken. Frankly, even if I find the compiler, I probably would not know exactly what to do. I don't even know which directory to put the ebook tool files. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- The package claims to support CHM files but it does not https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277007 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdegraphics in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

I would like to file a bug to create an okular-extra-backends-universe package which contains chm and epub support. This bug was fixed in the package kdegraphics - 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2 --- kdegraphics (4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2) jaunty; urgency=low * Do not advertise support for backends we don't compile (LP: #277007, #345672) * Add kubuntu_02_kolourpaint_qt_crash_fix.diff to work around the Qt crash that is otherwise present. [Bug 277007] Re: The package claims to support CHM files but it does not
also it does not support ePub format as claimed. However, as with libchm1 it is also in universe. Therefore the package only adds support for djvu and tiff. There should be a Universe package that is a drop in replacement that supports all the formats. -- The package claims to support CHM files but it does not https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277007 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdegraphics in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

libchm is in universe, okular/kdegraphics in main. This needs further evaluation whether we can link against libchm at all. ** Changed in: kdegraphics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist Assignee: (unassigned) => Harald Sitter (apachelogger) Status: New => Triaged -- The package claims to support CHM files but it does not https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/277007 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdegraphics in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
