No worries Dimitrios. You're correct though, it does look like 8086:284b needs that option in order for sound to work, which makes it a confirmed kernel bug. Muting or umuting channels had no effect. Thanks for your bug report. However, I noticed this from your log: Simple mixer control 'PCM',0 Capabilities: pvolume Playback channels: Front Left - Front Right Limits: Playback 0 - 255 Mono: Front Left: Playback 0 [0%] [-51.00dB] Front Right: Playback 0 [0%] [-51.00dB] This means that the PCM channel is muted. The volume of this needs to be increased for playback to work. COuld you please try increasing this? You can do this by double clicking on the volume applet on your panel (this will open the mixer controls).
