I,ve another issue with my averatec 3200 series laptop video card,
ubuntu dosen,t see my card but I fix that problem already in 8.10 but
when I try to update to 9.04 the issue pop-up one more time and I do the
same thin I did on ubuntu 8.10 but that don,t fix the problem on 9.04
version so I need to stay on 8.10. I also try to set the rate to 54m
manually, tath increase a little bit the speed but its still more slower
than my speed on windows xp. I wonder if you know how fix this issue on
ubuntu 8.10 please helpme. I'm new on linux so I don't know a lot of
thins. :(

It still happens in 8.10 stable. However I did now set a start up script
that will set it to 54mbps - but that's not really a solution.

2009-02-21 Thread Dan Trevino
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue
for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Exactly the same problem with the same hardware as Hyper_Ch here. Pings
to my wireless router produce varying results from 2.1ms to over 4000ms

?

[Bug 282053] Re: Wireless devices get always set to 1 Mb/s

2008-10-13 Thread Bernard
Happening to me too, using Ubuntu 8.04 on a Dell 1501; the bit rate goes
back to 1 mbps.. Interestingly enough it'll stick for maybe one or two
boots and then get shunted back. Nuisance, it is.
