The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. This also occurs in Jaunty beta, except that it doesn't go away immediately. It requires some sort of action with the window that forces it to redraw. It also happens with the desktop. It occurs me with almost all windows, especially when am opening them. This has become a great annoyance for me. Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex pre-release, fully updated as of today (Oct 13). Compiz version: 1:0.7.8-0ubuntu2 All animations for new windows have been disabled, but problem persists. Problem does not manifest for windows restored from minimise.
