Public bug reported: I have a thrustmaster gamepad. I think it's a thrustmaster firestorm but I'm not certain of the exact type. It's a six button gamepad with no analog sticks.
In Intrepid, this gamepad is detected as a mouse. (If I press down, up, left, or right it moves the mouse cursor). If I press any of the action buttons, X restarts. Playing games with this gamepad is not possible. This gamepad worked fine in Hardy. In fact, every gamepad I have tried does the same thing in Intrepid, so it's not limited to this particular controller. I was told in bug # 274203 to report this bug individually for each joystick that fails, however I think that's very silly as it is more important to fix this bug for all joysticks, not just the ones reported. Regardless, attached is my lshal output. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Intrepid: Thrustmaster Gamepad Is Detected As A Mouse And Crashes X https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283081 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
