not related to bug, but the update-manager-core *.26 package can be found here, for people who can't find it :P http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid/update-manager-core Cheers -- intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284134 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 284134] Re: intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution
thank you for your bug report, that's not a bug though you just need for the new version to build to upgrade, don't use an unstable distribution if you don't want such changes ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New => Invalid -- intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284134 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 284134] Re: intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution
Same here. Just did a partial update and cannot reinstall evolution. The following packages have unmet dependencies: evolution: Depends: evolution-common (= 2.24.0-0ubuntu2) but 2.24.0-0ubuntu3 is to be installed E: Broken packages -- intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284134 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 284134] Re: intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution
I'm also experiencing a similar issue where evolution was removed as part of an update process, and now cannot be installed. -- Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: evolution: Depends: evolution-common (= 2.24.0-0ubuntu2) but 2.24.0-0ubuntu3 is to be installed E: Broken packages -- intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284134 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 284134] Re: intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution
I can confirm this bug as well: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: update-manager: Depends: update-manager-core (= 1:0.93.26) but 1:0.93.25 is to be installed E: Broken packages -- intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284134 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 284134] Re: intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution
** Description changed: Intrepid update problem Icon indicated update was available. I selected it and it said that partial upgrade was needed. Upgrade ran then stopped. I rebooted and found that evolution was not working. I then tried to do and update. System kept telling me it needed to do a partial upgrade I would click it to start it. It would then tell me it did not need to be done. The last time it said that some files need to be removed. I clicked on it to start the operation and then update-manager quit working. In synaptic it tells me that update manager depends on 1:0.93.26 but 1:093.25 will be installed. Evolution indicates that dependencies will not be satified. + + Evolution information + + evolution: + Depends: evolution-common (=2.24.0-0ubuntu2) but 2.24.0-0ubuntu3 is to be installed + Depends: evolution-data-server but it is not going to be installed + Depends: evolution-data-server but it is not going to be installed + Recommends: evolution-plugins but it is not going to be installed + + update-manager information + update-manager: + Depends: update-manager-core (=1:0.93.26) but 1:0.93.25 is to be installed -- intrepid partial upgrade broke update manager and evolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284134 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
