Public bug reported:
Computer won't power off after shutdown form ubuntu, although it works
fine in my other installs on the same computer (WinXP, gentoo). I have
tried adding acpi=force to the kernel options with no result. I am
currently using 8.10 beta, but this problem has been around since i
first installed ubuntu (7.10).
