This crash happened on bootup. I don't have a clue why. My processor is an AMD 9600 Quad 64/32bit. 8gb ram. SATA HDD. 9600 Gforce. I am Jaunty Beta current. Happend today with latest Alpha 6 upgrades when I was using gimp and scribus. I think this is a plasma / xorg crash while I was moving scaling windows. Time for the regular new version survey. Does anyone still experience this crash with either KDE4.1.4 or KDE4.2rc1? Personally I haven't seen this one for a while. Same problem here, reproducible on all my computers. I notice that the bug started to appear after the latest update of the kmail/kdepim packages in Intrepid. This happens either with KDEWallet open or not. My system : Kubuntu 8.10 i386. I've managed to reproduce this on my machine. A full reboot isn't required. Log out and log back in is sufficient to induce the crash. Backtrace attached. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Kontact 2. Leave Kontact window open and log out 3. Log back in. 4.
