I finally found the time to create a customized LiveCD that uses the latest 
kernel (2.6.27-7) Ubuntu provides, but the problem still exists for me.
Using dhclient doesn't help. I'm pretty sure it's not a DHCP problem, because 
setting a static IP doesn't work either.

I still have the same Problem. It does'nt work with my Billion Router,
but it works with my WLAN Router. But in my network configuration the
WLAN Router can't be the DSL Router.

But i dont want to throw away my Router and buy a new one. I hope this
will be fixes soon.

I have the same problem. With 3 of 4 PCs i could'nt connect to the LAN.
The one that's working is an old Laptop with SIS Chipset.

I have this problems with a Billion Router BiPack 6xxx Router. Then i
used a Broadband WLAN Router and it works
