[Bug 289237] Re: nautilus crashes on startup
I'm experiencing the same exact issue. Nautilus version: Gnome nautilus 2.24.1. I have attempted to reinstall pango via apt with no luck. Have tried compiling pango from source and installing with no luck either. -- nautilus crashes on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289237 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 289237] Re: nautilus crashes on startup
My problem seems to have been caused by some old/bad files in usr/local/lib. Please see the solution that helped me here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=975887page=4 -- nautilus crashes on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289237 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 289237] Re: nautilus crashes on startup
Can you run which nautilus in a terminal and paste the output here? This is likely a problem with your setup and the way that Nautilus is linking with Pango. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New = Incomplete -- nautilus crashes on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289237 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 289237] Re: nautilus crashes on startup
Well I'm glad it was fixed, but since we didn't really fix it, it's probably not best to mark it as such. Please feel free to report anything else you find. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed = Invalid -- nautilus crashes on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289237 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 289237] Re: nautilus crashes on startup
I'm not sure but when I did the upgrade, pidgin was running (which uses the pango lib) perhaps pidgin blocked the upgrade of the pango lib.
