In intrepid-proposed we still have the previous hal-info version, so that it will still take a bit until the next hal-info can go to intrepid-proposed. In the meantime, feel free to download the latest package from jaunty http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/h/hal/-info/ or just fix the typo in the modem FDI yourself. -- Sierra Wireless MC5720 CDMA https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289659 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 289659] Re: Sierra Wireless MC5720 CDMA
This bug was fixed in the package hal-info - 20081127-0ubuntu1 --- hal-info (20081127-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low * New upstream release: - Fix Sierra Wireless MC5720 CDMA modem entry. (LP: #289659) - Now installs 99-video-quirk-default.fdi, which replaces one half of our previous hal patch for default video quirk handling. (The other is replaced by current pm-utils.) -- Martin Pitt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Thu, 27 Nov 2008 16:44:26 +0100 ** Changed in: hal-info (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed => Fix Released -- Sierra Wireless MC5720 CDMA https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289659 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

zoomy942 [2008-11-25 15:22 -]: > When you say it's fixed upstream, what does that mean for an end user > like me? I regularly update hal-info from the upstream code to the Ubuntu development and stable releases. Hah, got it. Current info has a typo in the vendor ID: it should be "3f0". Also, when I add this file to my /usr/share/mobile-broadband-provider- info/ verizon shows up as a provider but the NM applet doesnt see my card. Just FYI. Also, the vendor ID is Bus 002 Device 002: ID 03f0:1b1d Hewlett-Packard It comes up as HP becasue this is an HP tablet, but the card itself is the Sierra Wireless mentioned. ** Attachment added: "serviceproviders.xml" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18933970/serviceproviders.xml -- Sierra Wireless MC5720 CDMA https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/289659 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
