The vlc version in ubuntu 8.10 is 0.9.x and does not work with freeplayer
(transcode issues as far as I see on various forum)
Video is almost broken or extremely slow
Can freeplayer package include a correct version of vlc (0.8.6 as in ubuntu
8.04) instead of relying on the standard vlc ?
