[Bug 292345] Re: Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB
Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Intrepid reached EOL on April 30, 2010. Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases I've tried recreating this bug with Lucid and was unable to, given the information you've provided. Please either a) upgrade and test or b) increase the verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we can try again. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292345 Title: Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/292345/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 292345] Re: Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB
The problem is not in the fact that device becomes a network device. Yes, exactly. It is just empty. The most working workaround (and I actually use it) is do not plug HTC device to the computer. =) -- Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292345 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 292345] Re: Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB
I will do this ASAP. For now, could you give me some guidelines how to ensure that you have nothing in /usr/local that could interfere here? I am pretty sure that I have no, but have no idea how to check this. -- Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292345 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 292345] Re: Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB
run find /usr/local -type f | grep libnm and find /usr/local -type f | grep NetworkManager does that yield anything? also run find -type f /usr/local /tmp/find.txt and attach the find.txt file so I can take a look. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Network manager rewrites /etc/resolv.conf when I connect PDA to USB https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292345 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
