[Bug 293012] Re: glxinfo badRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)
I don't know if this was entirely related to this bug, but my problems have gone away. At one point, I got tired of dealing with a buggy system, and decided to go about trying to fix the problems I was having. Through my attempts to fix an unrelated problem, I suddenly realized that I wasn't using the most updated kernel. I dual boot, and my /boot is on a different partition. However, this partition is not mounted into Ubuntu's /boot directory once Ubuntu is loaded. (I used this boot partition for trying to install gentoo, and now I just use it to boot Ubuntu or Windows.) I realized that, even though I was installing new versions of the kernel from the repository, I wasn't actually using them. I had to manually edit my boot partition's grub.conf. Then suddenly, the problem went away. I was using Ububtu 9.10 by this time though, so I'm not sure whether this bug got fixed before or not. Just that my finally using the newest kernel fixed all problems I was having with fglrx. -- glxinfo badRequest (invalid request code or no such operation) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293012 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
