Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xchat-gnome
This is similar to "Join/leave messages make chatrooms with many members almost unreadable"; however, it is not specific to a large channel. I simply don't want to see those messages in some channels regardless of the number of users connected. Version: 0.18 xchat-gnome In other IRC applications there is an option to hide this information by right-clicking on the channel name and adding custom settings for only that channel. This would be ideal. I believe the command ought to be: /ignore #channel JOINS PARTS However this throws back the error: Unknown arg 'JOINS' ignored. Unknown arg 'PARTS' ignored.
