If the camera is pointed at a fluorescent lamp, the center appears a "region of light". I don't know if this is the same issue, but... My webcam worked in 8.04. Now I've upgraded to 9.04 and it doesn't work. lsusb shows 041e:4034 Creative Technology, Ltd WebCam Instan, and /dev/video0 exists when the camera is plugged in. Skype says no devices found. Camorama shows a black image with some interference like lines across it and says unable to capture image. Adobe Flash Player 10 shows an image that looks like a corrupted image file. I have the same issue with my webcam. It was shown but nothing on applications (aMSN, Ekiga, etc.). Hi, thanks for your report, is it possible for you to test if this bug still exists with fully updated Intrepid?
