Maybe it is a regression of the linux kernel. Ok, thank you. I have the problem from the moment that Ubuntu use Pulse audio. With Ubuntu 8.04 I have done all troubleshooting and with help from the Dutch forum but it didn't solve the problem. Also if there is a solution with troubleshooting than it is still a bug because the sound have to work out of the box. The sound did work fine with Ubuntu 7.10 (my first Ubuntu) but with the release of Ubuntu 8.04 the sound didn't work anymore.
