I don't get the problem with the dialog popping up, but it doesn't work
for me either. It gives me a General IO Error box.

Did some experimenting:

MSHOME is not stored anywhere on my machine (in any configuration file
that is). If this is the case, MSHOME must be hard coded in OOo.

It works perfectly fine with 2.4.1 and 3.0 (ooo.org downloaded version).

I am a bit disappointed about how theses issues get worked on.
