[Bug 298594] Re: Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary
I was not quite right about that: It only happens for errors in the preamble, those are reported to occur in the master tex file, but on the same line they actually occur in the preamble. Errors from files \input after \begin{document} are reported correctly. To make my point clear, i have the following structure (strongly simplified): master.tex: \input{preamble} \begin{document} \input{chapters/chapter1} ... \end{document} Meaning all packages are loaded and all initialization in preamble.tex. This obviously confuses Kile (though it is perfectly "legal") and I would consider that as a bug. -- Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298594 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kile in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 298594] Re: Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary
I still see this problem even using Kile from your PPA on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Kile Version 2.0.85 Using KDE 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5) I manually set the master file for my project since Kile failed to detect it (I \input my preamble from a separate file which seems to confuse it). But I can't imagine how that could cause any problems.

Hi Yossi You you need kde4.2+ (from backports) on intrepid/8.10 to use it. If you get a chance to test it on either jaunty or on intrepid+kde4.2 and kile from the ppa then please do and report back. If you have a live-cd with jaunty you can boot on that one and install kile and test. -- Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298594 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kile in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

In this case, I am not sure what you mean. Would you like me to download Debian package and see if downloads and installs Kile 2.02 fine? Re: [Bug 298594] Re: Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary
I would love to do help but i am not sure how. I had to recompile Kile for another computer. again, i had problems in doing that, i looked it up in the internet, and i found the advise i once gave to everyone, and it worked again for me like a charm, if i just install the right library. I am a bit hesitant to install jaunty. I checked out another your ppa, and it only has Kile for Interpid. BTW, Kile is wonderful. [Bug 298594] Re: Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary
I finally managed to compile 2.02. It turns out that Kile needs the kdelibs4-dev pakcage so you need to sudo apt-get install kdelibs4-dev The older KDE libraries which I installed were not sufficient, and conused the ./configure script. Installing the newer version will remove these older libraries. It would be nice if KILE2.02 is made into an ubuntu package. -- Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298594 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
