[Bug 29982] Re: Screen saver at login screen changes resolution

2010-07-31 Thread Aki Sivula
My original bug report is already 4 years old and was set to expired by
"launchpad janitor". I'm sure this bug still exists for some certain
hardware.

Please create a new bug report with hardware details + step-by-step
instructions and you might get help to your issue.

[Bug 29982] Re: Screen saver at login screen changes resolution

2010-07-19 Thread Kreuger Burns
This happens to me on Xubuntu Meerkat on my laptop. When the lid is
closed or it goes idle, xscreensaver kicks in and when you go to log
back in, the resolution has changed drastically.

[Bug 29982] Re: Screen saver at login screen changes resolution

2007-12-02 Thread Sascha Leib
I'm having the same problem here - using Ubuntu 7.10 with the themed
face browser.

What makes it even worse: when switching resolutions, it seems to choose
one that my monitor can't understand thus leaving me with a blank screen
(and an error message by the monitor). Now add that this machine is used
by my mother-in-law (a nice 60 year old lady) and you know my pain ;-)

Hell, I can't even find a way to switch off the screen saver for the
login screen at all! :-(

Any ideas?

[Bug 29982] Re: Screen saver at login screen changes resolution

2007-02-26 Thread Jason
This is happening in the feisty daily build... it happens whenever the
monitor goes to sleep. I have to reset the resolution to 800*600 then
restore it back to the native 1680*1050...
