Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Hi, There is nothing in that directory. Probably because Totem didn't crash. It only stopped outputting sound. The GUI continues to work as before but nothing happens when you try to start playback. I understand that the bug is challenging as it is intermittent (but rather frequent), and because its hard to find an Ubuntu machine on which standby actually works :-), but I don't think it is right to close the bug report unless you think this is an acceptable bug.
