It is still a problem. I have TwinView with nvidia drivers and still
only one color correction per monitor (it's for the x screen).

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the
original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to
reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against

[Bug 301064] Re: being in twinview gives only one color correction value for both monitors

2011-04-27 Thread bugbot
This bug report was filed against an old version of Ubuntu.
Can you confirm whether this is still an issue in natty?

If you don't mind, it would be very helpful if you could update the bug
report in launchpad to 'Fix Released' if it is no longer an issue for
you, or if it is still occurring under natty, please tag the bug 'natty'
so it's easier for us to track.

[Bug 301064] Re: being in twinview gives only one color correction value for both monitors

2009-01-17 Thread Bryce Harrington
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: nvidia-settings

  Using: kubuntu 8.10

  I have:
  * an old AOC Spectrum 7GlrA as a primary monitor
  * a newly bought ViewSonic VA1616w as a secondary monitor
  * an NVIDIA Inno3d GeForce 7600 GS

Since my primary monitor is old, I needed to tweak its color correction
values (make it brighter, lower red gamma value) in nvidia-settings,
while my secondary monitor is left with its default color values. Now
when I set it to Twinview, what happens is the color correction value
settings for my primary monitor is also applied to the secondary
monitor, making my secondary monitor too bright and unviewable. I
checked in nvidia-settings and indeed, the color correction settings for
the secondary monitor is gone. I think they should still be there so
users can still tweak color correction values for each monitor even
  while in TwinView.

[Bug 301064] Re: being in twinview gives only one color correction value for both monitors

2008-12-12 Thread anomalous_underdog
This bug also happens If I have TwinView off and Xinerama turned on, but
slightly less problematic: the color correction settings for my primary
monitor no longer gets applied to both monitors (it only affects the
primary monitor, which is good), but since there is only one x screen, I
can't change color correction settings for my secondary monitor anymore
(at least, not from nvidia-settings). My secondary monitor in this
situation has its color correction settings left with default values.

My point is that color correction settings should be a property of each
individual monitor, not x screens.

[This is an automated message]

Hi anomalous-underdog,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log
file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
