Ken, can you let us know what value you get when you do the following: cat /sys/module/ipw2200/parameters/associate If it's 1, then can you do the following: as sudo create the file /etc/modprobe.d/ipw220 and add to it the following: options ipw2200 associate=0 And reboot.
