Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-10-generic
I have Pinnacle PCTV Studio/Rave tunerja (card=39). Under Ubuntu 8.04 I had in V /etc/rc.local: rmmod bt878 rmmod bttv modprobe bt878 I was using kdetv, and TV tuner was working fine. However, after upgrade to 8.10 (kernel is 2.6.27-8-generic and 2.6.27-10-generic), TV card is not working anymore. When I start kdetv, I got this error: Unable to grab video. Video display is not possible with the current plugin configuration. Try playing with the configuration options of the V4L. Is there a problem with some kernel driver? This bug is duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdetv/+bug/297805, but I think it is a kernel module problem, not KTV problem.
