[Bug 305203] Re: Uncorrelated volume wheel events
same in 11.04, with acer aspire 5520g. in my case, when I turn down or up - statistically it generates more events to the correct side.. it seems that some noise is added while turning the wheel. I also checked the events from /dev/input/event4 - the noisy events are coming from here.. if you'd have some ideas about this, please share :) as I am not really sure where next to debug.. kernel? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305203 Title: Uncorrelated volume wheel events To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/305203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 305203] Re: Uncorrelated volume wheel events
I'm afraid the bug is still there, with Ubuntu 9.10; I didn't care about it anymore because I stopped trying to use it some time ago. But it would definitely be better if the volume wheel could do what it's designed to do. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Incomplete ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- Uncorrelated volume wheel events https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305203 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 305203] Re: Uncorrelated volume wheel events
Hi Enrico, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/karmic . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 305203 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message.
