Ok, but is that all there is?
I turned back to the radeon driver (radeon_drv.so) where I get the
miInitVisualsProc fault and the dri (libdri.so) ABI version mismatch. So there
seems to be more issues around ati and xserver-xorg.

[Bug 308805] Re: [Jaunty] Loading GLX module fails due to undefined symbol miInitVisualsProc

2008-12-26 Thread Kevin
I am also getting this problem on Jaunty. Using the default xorg
configuration, there is no problem and X works perfectly. This problem
came in when I tried to use aticonfig to reconfigure X to accept a
second monitor as dual-head. I'm not using Compiz. Attached is the
xorg log file from the failure.

[Bug 308805] Re: [Jaunty] Loading GLX module fails due to undefined symbol miInitVisualsProc

2008-12-19 Thread Bowmore
Thanks, I'm still stuck in no rendering mode due to the
miInitVisualsProc protocol mismatch.

Here is the info you're requesting, i.e
lspci -vvnn
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
/etc/X11/xorg.conf

I've not done any manual changes in xorg.conf except of removing it to
get up running and then recreated it using dpkg-reconfigure -phigh
xserver-xorg but attaching that as well.

[This is an automated message]

Hi rolf4601,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log
file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` too.

Seems to be directly related to fglrx from the repos for me. Second

the issue.
