+1 for mau's suggestion that the "calendar" drop down list in the edit
item view should be active and allow you to change the calendar of an
event.

[Bug 310129]

2014-12-17 Thread B-misc-t
Why is it not possible in the "edit item view" to change the calendar
(the drop down list is greyed out) - would be convenient. Or to have an
entry in the context menu: move to... and then a list of all calendars
(similar to kmail's copy to... / move to...

Perhaps an easy drag n drop interface or multiple select event -> move
/copy-to calendar? Copy/paste would not work well for many events.

Cheers

I think a right-click-menu entry like "Move to ..." with a submenu which lists
the available calendars but the current would be good.
(And maybe a second entry with "Copy to ..."

If you are in the view where the calendars are shown in seperate coumns
side by side Drag'n'Drop would be nice. (just DnD = move, Ctrl-DnD =
copy)

Comments?

Good suggestions. I'd also like to point out, that implementing this
soon is more important than implementing it after two years.

Latest versions support multiple different backends and people are going
through transitions now and not having this feature available makes it
harder and time consuming. Not to mention akonadi testers/development.

Well, i guess you all already knew that. :)

[Bug 310129] Re: I want to move an event to a different calendar

2008-12-29 Thread Richard Birnie
This is a feature request rather than a bug so I'll mark it as wishlist.
There isn't a lot we can do about this at distribution level. Feature
requests really need to be reported directly to KDE on bugs.kde.org. If
you do so please add a link here so we can track any progress.

Thanks

[Bug 310129] [NEW] I want to move an event to a different calendar

2008-12-20 Thread Grashdur
Public bug reported:

In the Korganizer calendar, if I make a mistake and put an event on the
wrong calendar, there's no way to move it to the correct one. All I can
do is just delete my new event, recreate the same event again from
scratch, and then assign it to the correct calendar.
