[Bug 310789] Re: bash-completion crash

2010-03-06 Thread Connor Imes
I can confirm that this issue has been fixed in 9.10, I am not longer
able to reproduce it. It looks like there was a major version upgrade
for bash in Karmic, from 3.2 to 4.0. Thanks for letting us know that
it's working.

2) cd into the new directory
3) Enter these commands
$ touch blah.scd
$ ls
blah.scd
4) Type unzip (without quotes), followed by a space and then press TAB
unzip [TAB]

 Status in “bash” package in Debian: New

 Bug description:
 Binary package hint: bash-completion

 Ubuntu Release: Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64
 Package Version: 1.872

 Case: Using tab completion to fill a file that you have every reason to
 want to use but the people who wrote the list of approved completions don't
 think you should be able to perform without manual editing of the config.

 Method: Hold the tab key down while yelling profanities. (The yelling is
 optional)

 Result: Your terminal window disappears after about 5 seconds.

 Example:

 $ touch blah.scd
 $ ls
 blah.scd
 $ unzip [YOU'RE HOLDING TAB HERE.]
