You can try to remove it (and all its configuration files) and then reinstall with: sudo apt-get remove --purge cups-pdf sudo apt-get install cups-pdf ** Description changed: Binary package hint: cups-pdf I've had several problems with cups. Right now I tried to re-install it but it failed onto this pdf -section. I would need instructions howto re-install cups so that also all configurartion files will be rewritten wich are contacted to printers / printing somehow...
