Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nv
Hi, running xserver-xorg-video-nv 1:2.1.10-1ubuntu2 on 2.6.27-9-generic i386 with this hardware r...@lulu:/home/bav# lspci | grep -i vga 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8400M G (rev a1) I'm wondering about: r...@lulu:/home/bav# xvinfo X-Video Extension version 2.2 screen #0 no adaptors present r...@lulu:/home/bav# My first question: Bug or Feature ? Furthermore I'm wondering about xdpxinfo telling me screen #0: dimensions: 1680x1050 pixels (444x277 millimeters) resolution: 96x96 dots per inch I'd really expect 133 dpi. If I run NVIDIA binary Xorg driver nvidia-glx-177, I have X-Video Extensions as expected as well as 133 dpi OOTB. Unfortunately I the cannot control the screen's brightness any longer then ... Thanks for your time !
