[Bug 312472] Re: Webcam Eyetoy doesn't work

2012-04-02 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
mjaime, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a
Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically
gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the
issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once
you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-
testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon
next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and
deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your
results.

Thanks in advance.

[Bug 312472] Re: Webcam Eyetoy doesn't work

2009-02-16 Thread Michele Mangili
Hello!

Thank you for providing all the requested file.

I've found the following link, which seems to explain how to set up the
eyetoy drivers, maybe that could be a workaround for your issue!

http://wlug.org.nz/OmniVisionWebCam

Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin
work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from
here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

[Bug 312472] Re: Webcam Eyetoy doesn't work

2009-02-09 Thread Michele Mangili
Hello!

Could you please attach the following files to this report:

1) uname -a > uname-a.log
2) cat /proc/version_signature > proc_version_signature.log
3) sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log (those are 2 v's not a w)
4) dmesg > dmesg.log
5) lsusb > lsusb.log

Can you also tell me if bug #262853 is related to your problem?

I'm moving this report to linux.

Thank you for reporting this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better!
