2010-04-06 Thread Michael Fourdraine
I switched back to 8.04 and setup sw raid instead. Don't have access to
that server anymore for testing. Sorry.

Status in “dmraid” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

 Bug description:
I have a Dell PowerEdge SC1425 server that I am installed
8.10 server on. The server has an onboard Intel Cerca SATA
RAID controller, and I have set up two drives in a mirror
 (RAID1).

During the install of 8.10, I was prompted to enable the
SATA RAID, which I did, and the installation went fine.
However, when I rebooted the system, Ubuntu failed to come
up and placed me at the shell. The error I received was
 something like this

 -Alert! /dev/mapper/ddf1_RAID11 does not exist

Then when I run the command 'dmraid -ay' at the prompt and
exit out of the shell, Ubuntu comes up fine.

I am having the same issue at the moment. Running an apt-get upgrade to
see if any of the updated modules takes care of this issue despite the
fact that a number of RAID related modules have been updated.
