[Bug 320362] Re: Java webstart (sun-java6) are "Unable to create shortcut for MyApp(hostname)"
I also experience this problem. Creating /home/user/Desktop directory fixes that problem, but I must move shortcut to real desktop (Pulpit in polish) ** Changed in: sun-java6 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- Java webstart (sun-java6) are "Unable to create shortcut for MyApp(hostname)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/320362 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 320362] Re: Java webstart (sun-java6) are "Unable to create shortcut for MyApp(hostname)"
We also experience this problem. It seems to be caused by WebStart not being able to handle locally named Desktop folders. For example, with the Hungarian local in Jaunty, the Desktop folder is named Asztal. If you create a link named as Desktop in your home folder and the link is named Desktop, the Webstart icons will be created correctly. -- Java webstart (sun-java6) are "Unable to create shortcut for MyApp(hostname)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/320362 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
