Public bug reported: I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad X200 with Ubuntu 9.04 Alpha 3 (fully updated). With the update of pulseaudio thursday, something went wrong (worked well up until this update).
Symptoms: Sound doesn't work, mute button on thinkpad doesn't do anything, volume up/down works (icon comes up and slider goes up and down, still no sound). If I kill pulseaudio process manually and execute "start-pulseaudio-x11" from rxvt, sound starts working again. I am not sure if this is really a pulseaudio problem or if it caused by something gnome-related, but I thought I'd report it against pulseaudio. >From dpkg: ii pulseaudio 0.9.14-0ubuntu2 PulseAudio sound server ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- sound doesn't work until manually execute start-pulseaudio-x11 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
