[Bug 325679] [NEW] oo calc - I cannot add a trend line "y=Ax" to a chart

2009-02-05 Thread Pyromik
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

When I have a XY scatter chart, usually I draw a linear trend line, e.g., a
function y=Ax+B that minimizes the MSE error. Sometimes, the inner theory
implies that the term B must be equal to zero. In that case, we must force B=0
(and the trend line must pass through the point (0,0) ). When a trend line is
added in Excel, there is a check box in order to do that, but in openoffice
calc there is not nothing similar.
Thanks
PD: Excel has also a statistical analysis package. I have seen oostat, a set of
macros for openoffice with similar characteristic, but it does not work
properly.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10
NonfreeKernelModules: ath_hal
Package: openoffice.org-core 1:3.0.1-1ubuntu1~intrepid1

 SHELL=/bin/bash
 LC_NUMERIC=es_ES.UTF-8
SourcePackage: openoffice.org
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-7-generic x86_64
UnreportableReason: This is not a genuine Ubuntu package

** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu)
