SeaHorse 2.24.1 under Ubuntu 8.10, but I had a similar issue with Ubuntu 7.10, never resolved it, as I didn't try to chmod 0644 the file. Before chmod: jop...@dolomit:~/.ssh> ls -@ -rw-rw-r-- 1 jopsen jopsen 407 Feb 12 12:36 authorized_keys After chmod: jop...@dolomit:~/.ssh> chmod 0644 authorized_keys jop...@dolomit:~/.ssh> ls -@ -rw-r--r-- 1 jopsen jopsen 407 Feb 12 12:36 authorized_keys I don't know if this is an issue specific to this SSH server, the configuration of this server or similar...
