[Bug 327019] Re: Tan(90°)=-8,618206661e+2 14
Thank you for this bug report. The problem has been reported upstream to the gcalctool developers: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571007. This is a bug that really needs to be fixed by these upstream developers, unless somebody has a patch for it. This message has been forwarded upstream: Tan(90) is technically undefined (Though conceptually one usually thinks of it as infinity). When you enter Tan(90) into gcalctool you get Tan(90°)=-8.618206661e+214 which is a finite number. Though I understand a number of this magnitude in practice, is though of as infinite, it would be nice if the calculator returned the correct answer. ** Changed in: gcalctool (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- Tan(90°)=-8,618206661e+214 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327019 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
