[Bug 328555] Re: Wired network doesn't work in kernel 2.6.28-7
I have exactly the same problem on my T60 using Ubuntu 10.04. I'm a newbie at Linux, but have tried everything I could find via Google, but to no avail. I don't have an eth0 interface, so I can't use Ethtools or anything like that, so I'm stuck at this point. ANY help would be appreciated. -- Wired network doesn't work in kernel 2.6.28-7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/328555 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

It still doesn't work on my IBM T60, still the same problem. I've read many posts with no result. I'm using new Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. It's strange for me, because the model of IBM T60 is very popular and I can't believe it doesn't work with this Intel network hardware. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Incomplete -- Wired network doesn't work in kernel 2.6.28-7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/328555 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 328555] Re: Wired network doesn't work in kernel 2.6.28-7
Hi Craig, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid. If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 328555 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [This is an automated message.
