More informations about my posts... I installed a new laptop with 8.04, but need UMTS-Connetction so add the Repositories from ppa.launchpad network-manager for 8.04. One week ago, all works fine... then I make yesterday an update and from now on, can not connect with an UMTS-Modem (LAN and WLAN works) nesxt step, upgrade to 8.10 then I have the same problem... After a new install of 8.10 the connection with an UMTS-Modem work perfekt See my posts before... After upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10 the same Problem... Now, I make an "clean" new installation from 8.10 and all works.
